FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR LOCALE: 1756-1763
Most academics name this as a World War, of which America was merely one aspect. The North American theatre of the Seven Years' War was actually a relatively small war zone. Americans named this theatre The French and Indian War and it is universally accepted that an Indian under Major George Washington's command started the War by killing several Frenchmen and their own Indian allies, under a flag of truce and in apparent diplomatic discussions.
